Our Campus
Temple Baptist Academy is located on the 100-acre campus of Temple Baptist Church in Powell, Tennessee, just ten miles north of Knoxville in the foothills of the beautiful Smoky Mountains.
The classrooms are spacious and comfortable, specifically designed for their purpose. A full-service cafeteria equipped with a commercial kitchen makes it possible to offer hot lunches to students in all grades.
A multi-phased gymnasium renovation, beginning with a beautiful hardwood court surface, is underway. The gym accommodates over 700 for volleyball and basketball. The soccer pitch, with the mountain ridge as a backdrop, is host to an elementary league, junior high, and varsity Academy teams.
The 250-seat Memorial Chapel is used for elementary chapel, while the 350-seat Curtis Hutson Chapel provides an ideal setting for junior and senior high chapel services and other special programs. High school baccalaureate and graduation exercises take place in the 2,400-seat church auditorium.
A 15,000 square foot playground addition provides an excellent opportunity for elementary students to enjoy recreation.
Great care is taken daily to ensure that the facilities are clean and well-maintained.
