The Preschool (K-4 & K-5)
We offer a half-day program for four-year-olds in a pleasant, yet disciplined environment with an emphasis on the foundations of phonics and number.
Kindergarten students enjoy an activity-oriented learning environment with an emphasis on reading (phonetic approach), writing, and numbers. Students will learn to read before they graduate from kindergarten. The ABeka program is the primary academic curriculum used. It is supplemented as needed in exposing children to unique educational themes.
The hours of instruction for K-4 students begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 11:00 a.m. Instruction for K-5 students begins at 8:00 a.m. and concludes at 3:00 p.m., following the Academy calendar for holidays and breaks. Before-school care, beginning at a.m., and after-school care for K-5 only, until 5:30 p.m., are available at an additional charge. Nutritious meals are served daily for K-5 students. In addition, we have both CPR & First Aid-certified staff on campus.
Enrollment for the Preschool is limited, and will reach capacity quickly. We are currently interviewing for the 2009-10 school year. Placement is based on the child's age as of September 1 of the enrollment year. Please call 865.938.8180 for further information or to schedule an interview.
