Dedicated Teachers

“I attended Temple Baptist Academy from the time I was four years old until I graduated in 2008. I was ready for the classes in the engineering field because of the dedication of my teachers at Temple. I am grateful for all the time and prayer that was invested in my life by the faculty while I was at the academy.”

College Preparation

“While at Temple High School, the teachers helped prepare our classes for when we would go to college. Several classes that we took in high school were some of the same classes that I took in college, so this helped me already have a basic understanding for college-level material.”

Christian Influence

My wife and I are both thankful for the influence Temple Baptist Academy has had on our lives. I have watched two brothers, three sister-in-laws, and now my own daughter grow up under the influence of the same academy. I can say the Lord truly blessed our family when he led us to Temple.

Bible-Based Curriculum

“I am grateful for the eternal investment that my parents made to send me and my sisters to Temple Baptist Academy.  The influence of the teachers and emphasis of Bible-based curriculum brought me to an awareness of God’s  presence and my personal accountability to Him.”

Shared Faith

“I have the opportunity to work with outstanding students and faculty in the College of Education at Lipscomb University. I can share my passion for teaching and learning – focusing on more than academics. While at Temple, the teachers went out of their way to assist students in their learning and shared their faith with us. I will always be grateful to them and want to model their examples with my graduate students.”

Temple Fine Arts express the God given talents and gifts that exist in the lives of our youth. The Fine Arts program at Temple strives to identify the God given gifts of each student and assist in their improvement and development. We offer several courses that focus on the areas of music, speech, art, and drama. We provide many venues and opportunities for your student to express their talent through extra curricular events throughout each school year, state competitions with other Christian schools, and even the chance to compete on a national level.

Temple Baptist Academy-074What is fine arts?
Fine Arts is a showcase of those talents which are more intellectual than physical. Music, drama, art, and academics are the four main examples of fine arts. The TACS provides friendly competition of these talents among Christian Schools in the state of Tennessee. Students grades 4th-12th compete in all categories first in a district competition, and those qualifying go on to a state level competition. Students grades 10th-12th can also compete in those levels as well as a national level provided through AACS.

DSC_0016Who can participate?

All students in the qualifying grades of 4th through 12th may participate in any category available. Many students will already be participating in fine arts by singing in a choral group or ensemble, but students can choose to enter an individual category for competition in addition to their group participation. There is no limit on how many categories a student can enter so we encourage students to get involved in as many that interest them. We offer instruction in the categories of voice, keyboard, and most other instruments if your child so desires to learn more in the areas of fine arts.

Any student that is interested in getting involved can talk with their teacher about it today! You can also contact us by calling the school office to get more information on Temple fine arts today.
